The Backstory
At 44, Billy had been single for over a decade. 

He was tired of being alone but wasn’t sure how to navigate the modern dating landscape, especially with all the different dating apps and unspoken rules. 

In Billy’s words, “I felt like I was in the desert looking for water. I turned to my friends but they didn’t know what they were doing either.”

As is true for most people, Billy’s friends weren’t dating experts, so he came to me for help.

The Love Blocks
Billy’s biggest challenges centered around unrealistic expectations and an emotional guardedness stemming from a lack of self confidence. 

“I knew I needed to find out who I really am and get rid of the fantasies I had about relationships,” he said.

And under those fantasies was a quiet belief that he wasn’t good enough for the kind of relationship he wanted.

“I didn’t believe I was attractive enough.”

​The Breakthrough

While physical attractiveness gets people’s attention, it is not scientifically correlated with relationship success or longevity...which is why so many traditionally attractive people struggle to find love.

Contrary to popular belief, love isn’t a fairytale, it’s more like a video game: The #1 reason anyone is single (or will soon be single again) is because they’re trying to have a Level 25 relationship with Level 3 dating skills. Many think it’s simply a witty catchphrase of mine. Billy did too initially:

“I thought the Level 25 saying was just a gimmick so I pushed back at first but it’s really accurate. Nothing worked until I started doing what Amari told me to do. And then it worked pretty fast.”

I helped Billy set realistic expectations, increase his emotional dexterity, and significantly improve his dating confidence.

The Bond
In April 2024 (less than eight months after working together) Billy met Sherwin, and the couple live in sunny Florida.

The right relationship isn’t just possible, it’s essentially inevitable when you have the skills to create it. 

“My advice to anyone considering working with Amari is to just do it. Obviously you need the help and obviously it works."
